The principal focus of the Interpretability, Quality, and
Metrics Working Group (IQMWG) is to address the interpretability, quality and metrics (IQM) of motion imagery. The objectives of the IQMWG include:
- Advising the MISB on motion imagery IQM*
- Coordinating with other DoD/IC/NSG standards bodies to ensure that IQM standards are reflected in relevant standards, directives, and guidelines
- Develop standards, recommended practices, and engineering guidelines for IQM and submit to the MISB for formal adoption
- Provide recommendations to the MISB on IQM research methodology
* As used here, quality refers to preference or confidence; interpretability to intelligence value; and metrics as subjective or objective indicators
