The Metadata Working Group (MWG) exists to foster metadata harmonization among motion imagery systems.
By developing relevant metadata standards, the Metadata Working Group seeks to insure that motion imagery
data can be cataloged and discovered easily, exploited with all required accuracy and precision
by a wide range of users, and that exacting requirements for data confidence can be met. By seeking
to develop appropriate standards proactively, the Metadata Working Group fosters interoperability and
helps to reduce development cost of motion imagery systems. |
